Try a search with a large result set, e.g. https://blogs.sap.com/?s=hana

Navigating in the search result is not intuitive

  • "older post" and an arrow left???? Should be a right arrow
  • If you are in the next page, it renders "older post" above "newer post"
  • Page number shown in the URL but not on the screen

I would prefer the common

way to render the navigation within a search result

I agree - along with better ways to provide smart filters and drill downs within the initial search results will help people find the content they are interested in, but the issue of pagination could also be better handled.

Does Older vs. Newer have any relevance when the result sorting is not time based?  Right now there is no sorting, so it must be system default ordering...

I did a test 'Hana' search on Google, and perhaps only now just noticed that the pagination uses Goooooooogle on top of the <Previous 1  2  3 4  5  6  7  8  9  10 Next> concept, so +1 to your proposal.
