SCN: (auto) login no longer working with latest Firefox

When accessing SCN using the latest Firefox 27.0.1, the (auto) login no longer seems to work. When I try to login manually using the "login" link, the popup for my username and password does not appear. I can see that there is some SAML stuff being done, but this does not result in a successfull login but in a SSL_ERROR_HANDSHARE_FAILURE_ALERT. This is not the case when I remove my SAP Passport certificate from Firefox (which is something I don't like to do since that would mean I cannot SSO into the SMP anymore). Has anybody else observed this behavior?

Hello All,

Just to let you know, the problem was probably due to jre7 patch 51. I was having trouble with some Java based stuff (HANA LM for instance). After removing jre7 patch 51 and installing the older patch 45, this all works again. The automatic login for SCN works again as well.

Seems a lot has changed security wise in patch 51 for jre7, and not all applications and websites were ready for this.

Thanks for the information. However, it doesn't seem to be the case with Chrome as I'm on 1.6.0_45 still.

I discussed with IT and it would be best to open a support ticket at sapnetwork@sap.com for this. Same for anyone else having SSO login issues.

Chrome work now. I don't know what changed (the Chrome version is the same). Anyway, I'll open a support ticket if it recurs.

I'm having the same issue with Chrome 33.0.1750.117 m. It was working yesterday but not today. I can still login to SAP Service Marketplace using my certificate but not SCN. When I click login, it checks and then the page darkens while displaying "waiting for accounts.sap.com" and the login doesn't proceed. I tried disabling all extensions, but that doesn't help.

IE11 still works for both SCN and Service Marketplace with my certificate.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem in Chrome?

Hello Robert,

That sounds like the exact same behavior that I'm seeing in Firefox. The screen darkens and that's it. Can you check whether removing your SAP Passport certificate fixes the issue (it does for Firefox). IE11 also works fine here, both for SMP and SCN.

I removed the certificate and it works now. I'm not sure how as it didn't ask me any credentials (even without a certificate), but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

For me in IE8 and Firefox  27.0.1 (Same) , Auto login is not working however when I click on Login the same SAML stuff happens and Fortunatly I get logged In .

Please reinstall firefox once , May be that can solve the problem with you .
