I noticed some strange things going on at http://service.sap.com/notes:
The loadbalancer assigns you to a websmpXYZ webserver. Depending on which server you get, you will get different results for your search.
Example:
enter "Linux" as search term and press search
--> 1877 results
--> newest notes from 25th of july
now change the URL in the browser to
http://websmp202.sap-ag.de (press enter)
enter "Linux" as search term and press search
--> 1214 results
--> newest notes from august 1st
It seems to be that the websmp2xx series of webserver have the newest index whereas the websmp1xx have an old index.
This was driving me nuts since I was searching for a note I saw yesterday and tried to find it today - without luck...
Has anyone noticed something likewise?
Markus

Problem was caused by a TREX not running for many days...

On a different note, do you get a different interface (web page) for sdn occasionally?
But as for the note search, I think there is something strange going on, yes.

I didn´t notice that on SDN...
SMP has some more strangeness. Our BI system was always accessible from the OSS, just no more today. The /system-data application has a wrong IP addresse. If I change it and save, I cuts the last digit of the first part of the IP addresse. Even if I send the system data through Solution Manager it´s cut.
Strange things happening over there...
