saprouter server's IP address changing

We are migrating our DEV environment to PW7 hardware, meaning all the systems will be getting a new IP address.  This happens to include our SAP router server “stlXX301”.  Can someone answer  what all is involved when changing the IP address on the saprouter server?  We may have to specifically get SAP support to reconfigure some things on their end of the frame-relay connection… I’m not sure.

At the very least we will need to do the following for stlXX301:

-          Update the saproutetab

-          Update the SAP service marketplace settings for stlXX301 as well as for the “default saprouter” IP address.

-          Others?

PLPlease suggest.

Hi,

Is the IP of your saprouter changed as well? If yes, in order for SAP to allow connection from your new sap router, you need to create a customer message and for SAP to update their database and generate a new key for you.

Your above 2 steps should be sufficient.

Thanks Nicholas,

Yes the ip of saprouter is also getting changed,is there any specific note which details the process for updating this change .And under which component we would raise the message?

hi,

XX-SER-NET-NEW is the component and you may refer to note 28976.

Thanks a ton Nicholas,

But i had one query ,when we configure sap router we need to create a key using ./sapgenpse get_pse. After generating the key , we need to create a certificate by copying this key to service.sap/com/tc and after requesting certificate , we need to import it .

I followed the following doc :http://www.erpgenie.com/sapgenie/docs/SAP%20SNC%20CONFIGURATION.pdf

Do we need to do all this in this case when only the ip  of the sap router is getting changed?

I believe yes if your saprouter hostname changed or when you install the new saprouter.
