Hi
We are having issues trying to connect a few PCs using Group Server Selection when creating a connection in SAP Logon. We have succeeded to configure some PCs (OS W7 and W8), so we think the problem might be on the PC. We are using SAPLogon 7.30 Patch Level 3.
So far we've done the following troubleshooting:
We modified services file to add the environment and port (sapmsSID Port).
We telnet using sapmsSID Port - results were unsuccessful
We telnet using FQDN Port - results were successful
The errors we are getting are different, but we think they are related:
Logon Balancing Error
Service "7" unknown
Partner 'FQDN:sapmsSID' not reached

Check if firewall is in between the PC and server and sapmsSID port is open.
It could be possible that local PC's own firewall is blocking the port, you can try testing by disabling the firewall.
As you have already connected few PC's using logon load balancing and your telnet is not working, so it doesn't look issue of logon load balancing.
