Hello!
Can someone explain why SAP uses fuzzy search in the SAP Launchpad?
To me it's madness.
I always copy&paste the things I am searching for. Therefore I am interested in exact searches. Fuzzy hits only create dummies I have to navigate through, giving me more stupid work.
The search: IcmConnThSync: No OOB message received
Give you 6771 valid OSS Notes the last five years
Refining the search: IcmConnThSync OOB message received
Give you 29 valid OSS Notes the last five years.
In reality there are no OSS Note that contain IcmConnThSync
With the fuzzy search I have to work exactly the opposite I worked before.
-Earlier more search arguments resulted in fewer hits.
-Now more arguments results in more hits.
The world is upside down.
Request clarification before answering.
Another example.
I was looking for a Note that deals with tables ARFCSSTATE and ARFCSDATA and how you can get rid of unneccesary entries in them.
This is an old Note I have used before.
Searching: ARFCSDATA
Gives you 173 Notes. This is the best I can get with the Launchpad since
searching: ARFCSDATA table growing
Gives you 409 Notes (the more search arguments the more hits).
