I think the recession is finally over and the job market has picked up. Recruitment seems to be in full flow. How do I know?
The number of do-my-work because im-new-in-abap kind of posts is on an all-time high after a long time.
And you thought I was enquiring about the job market, when you read the title

PS: Just wondering if ABAP General is begging for a blood-bath!
Request clarification before answering.
It's not limited to only the ABAP forum, the HCM forum is also buzzing with documentation requests along with the regular, 'I am new to...', 'How to...', 'Where to...', What to...', 'Please help...' questions, if they can be called questions at all.

Banu Hameed now knows what Marvin must have felt like.
Usually this sort of thing happens in September each year. Hopefully it will not be a "long summer". It certainly was a "long morning" to clean up all the junk which was reported.
Cheers,
Julius

Woah! You had me there for a moment - looking at the subject line and the name of the OP, I thought you had finally gone bonkers
But yeah I think its true, even many of my company's customers are starting up new projects, although it will take quite a while until the market goes up to the 2007 - 2008 level.
As far as the job market goes, I'm not really sure here if its picking up. I mean companies are tentatively putting out feelers and checking if big projects are feasible, so the hiring hasnt really started up is my guess...

Are you sure you didn't imply down to those levels?
I was a bit skeptical about the thread though...
Hi,
No, I meant <edit>returning back</edit> up. The reason being, that the economy here in Germany really started to go downhill in 2008. 2007-2008 was the period where (I guess) the signs were there, but the lightning hadn't struck yet.

to attend interviews in a few top MNC's :-) Really a great surprise to me. I never heard about this kind of calls from consultancies. Normally consultancies call people for scheduling the interveiws with companies. May be by mistake, your mobile number is stored in a different database of those consultancies.
Hello Ravi,
Not really sure what kind of consultancy it is.I got a call from them a few days back and they said that a huge recriutment drive is going on in Big MNC for those above 3 years of experience in ABAP. When i said that i have a little less than that, they said that they will prepare a fake offer letter from one of their clients showing that i have above 3 years of Exp and make me attend the interview.

The recruitment is happening in a big way for the last three months especially for the core modules like FI,SD, MM and also for ABAP. I heard from many people that, this is the highest recruitment ever happened (for SAP area) in India. Not sure, how far it is true. I feel that, the supply is very less now and it is difficult to get a reasonably good resource in any module, unlike the situation a few years ago.
