hello everyone,
I have about 1 yr experience in ABAP. Do you think it would be wise to make a move towards Functional side?
I see a lot of opportunities for FI/CO, CRM, SD.
If I take 4 week functional training from some consulting company, Would it be easy for me to survive out there?
I am open for suggestions.
Also, can anybody inform me about some good, trustworthy SAP consulting companies in Chicago, IL.
Appreciate your help.
Regards,
Fred.

Hi Fred,
If you are good then wait for the next big thing which is the "ABAP Dynpro" which is part of the NW2004s. This way you can make a switch to SAP Netweaver.

As a technical consultant as you Know ABAP also good as a next step you could move to SAP XI which has very good scope. If you have any functional background/experience prior to SAP it is a good idea to move to functional side of SAP. Otherwise it's a good idea to stick into ABAP and move towords XI even BW is good. This is my opinion you could wait for expertise advise.
