It would be handy to know what basic access requirements under SAP are necessary to run RFCs via VBA.
My SAP front end is limited, I have to access to ABAP workbench, record function etc, is it possible to call remote functions with these limitations?
Thanks in advance

I guess that might be cool Otto, but I am being genuine.
I find myself in a position where the quantity of documents I need to create and link has become prohibitive and my work setting is such that support is non existent, and automation is not encouraged.
Hence before I go to the trouble of learning how to code the solutions I need, it made sense to me to find out if it was even possible given the limitations of my situation.

So you want to "workaround" the frontend because you don't have access, or you might have access but not sure because you "only" have access to the ABAP workbench...?
Is this in production or development environments?
Anyway, my advise to you is not to make any investments in homegrown or duct-tap-on type desktop computing tools. For that we now have browsers and web services.

Julius
