I heard about these special qualities of moderators, which suppose to be came out due to immense pressure created by the forum posts and of course no return policies -
9 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
11 have bankrupted at least two businesses
3 have been arrested for assault
7 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
12 are current defendants in lawsuits
ALL were stopped for drunk driving
Do you qualify in any of the following?
If not, then you cannot be one.
Moderators are not criminals. But they need to be:
1. megalomaniac;
2. skillful in chopping other forumners' heads off;
3. good in using offensive / unprofessional language like declaring other people's question 'stup#d', which adds the 4th and the most important quality - not being caught for violating the rule.
By the the way, can I use words like 'CR#P', 'what the H#LL' as some people do here?
Moderator, your guidance is highly appreciated!!!

1 and 2 - maybe.
I couldn't find any example of 3.
Can you provide any?
Rob

Sure...But those words would be deleted as well as you user account...
3. good in using offensive / unprofessional language like declaring other people's question 'stup#d', which adds the 4th and the most important quality - not being caught for violating the rule.
Well...Not a good way to talk about us -:(

I confess to having used the word "rubbish" a few times, but it was directed at Guests who had been points gaming.... so I hope that there were no hard feelings left over...
Examples (for Rob):

Julius

Maybe others will disagree, but I don't think saying something is rubbish is quite the same as calling it stupid.
Rob
Thank you Rob.
A waste disposal bin is a usefull and necessary instrument (=> rubbish) and is different to factors which might be out of our control (basic stupidity, etc). Most countries institutionalize rubbish, but very few do the same with stupidity.
It is a tough job sometimes being a mod and trying to understand what the OP's context is, and those who are answering as well.
A single Abuse Report often requires looking into the other posts to see the context, and also whether other user ID's are involved (not only limited to points gaming).
My philosophy about it is that I either do nothing, or I do a good job of it before taking action.
Of course: the more you do, the more mistakes you might make.
And then there is of course release dependent moderation... etc...
Cheers,
Julius
Here you go - somebody got executed 'for answering stupid questions':
It is a good thing that you are not an American and do not have to listen to the preached about 'no question is a stupid question'.
The stock marcket is down and I am not in the mood of digging out more treads with 'beautiful' words.
we can feel the heat of smoke coming from your EARS..!!
