Request clarification before answering.
There we go... that looks much better now!
Shall we convert this thread to something like the Cricket, cricket thread in an attempt to fill the spammer's mailbox?
A nice and spam-free weekend to all,
Julius

Luckily for you, moderator did not get very far from the door and had to walk slowly because he stopped at the next bench to do the needfull, by reverting his socks out of his jacket pocket and installing them between his feet and his shoes, as if it were the same albeit more comfortable to walk with...
It was great to meet people at TechED in Berlin whom we otherwise only know as forum names, and in many senses even know quite well at that.
Putting faces and voices to a name is a great thing which social media is a cool enabler for, if used responsibly (unlike many BMW drivers...).
Thomas and I also met Otto Gold in "realtime" without the SDN blog interface holding him back... This was one of the many highlights for me as well.
That is enough said now.
Next up is Ms. Gwenda Newton-Smith, from 124 Fairlane Court, Purgatory. Please welcome her should she arive....
Cheers,
Julius
Hello Gwenda,
Yep, and SAP had Flensburger Pilsener on offer this year.
Unfortunatly the concert night ended about 1 minute after the band stopped playing with the big message on all screens saying: "Concert over! Please leave the building via the exits". Several people mentioned that this was a bit blunt.
Cheers,
Julius
A very special thanks to Laure Cetin, Marilyn Pratt and Jim Spath for their efforts with the Moderator Meeting session as well!
There were several Guests who attended and "driveby-listeners" (not ones of the Guest-o-Blaster type) and it was a very interesting discussion to get feedback from them.
There seems to be a lot of support for a more rating oriented metric on SCN than the ponits system in it's current form, or even a demand for it... but there are some technical challenges and it would be wrong for folks to loose everything under the current regime and start over with a new one.
But the SCN team have some very cool ideas and with civil discussions here we can influence it.
It seems the Coffee Corner now finally has it's long sought after "random thoughts" thread...
Cheers,
Julius

Did they drive-by in their BMW's? If yes, then our OP will finally have a say in this thread

Random thoughts huh? Sounds very familiar. The phrase has got a great zing to it. Whoever came up with that idea must be real smartass.... or NOT!!!

Hah... pinkel contest?
I met the world champion at [Extreme Ironing|http://www.google.de/images?hl=de&q=extreme+ironing&rlz=1R2ADSA_deCH392&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=WJm8TJv-GcGUswaZuOTWDQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCoQsAQwAA] once before as well and gave him some good ideas.
I also met Matthew Abrechnungs-Schinken in a lift several years before I worked out that we worked in the same building all along, thanks to SDN.
I also met the queen once and have a photo of me, standing next to both the queen of England and the queen of the Netherlands. I am holding a gun in my hands with no bodyguards in sight, and they are both smiling at me!
I have since been working hard on my skills to achieve [Computer Programmer|http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/sportatorium/Summer%20-%20Tan%20Lines.jpg] status but am not quite there yet.
BTW: Do we want to plan an SDN ski-day again this year on Feldberg? According to the farmers here it will be a mild winter so perhaps we should go for February to be on the safe safe side?
Cheers,
Julius

I missed this one, I am so sorry:(( O.
Interesting was that non-Mod folks at the meet were mostly from SAP. They seemed to want to know what was going on...
As with all things in life, you need to talk to the right people and / or consistantly express your opinions and not give up. Then you get through in the end.
Cheers,
Julius

My thoughts are the following:
Welcome to SCN, interesting way for you to make your first post here, but welcome anyway.
Interesting article, but I think you are more interesting the article. I don't know the point in posting the article unless you are looking to start a fight here. I can only see the conversation about the article going down in flames pretty quick.
Could you kindly fill out your business card and let us know who you really are? Most folks will make a wrong assumption that you are simply "trolling" for response by posting the link here, as you have setup a pretty anonymous profile.
Take care,
Stephen
