messages.sap.com is unreliable for a few days already.
With the exception of the browser address the whole screen in the browser is just empty.
No information that an error had occurred or the service is not available.
Request clarification before answering.
There's a lot here, but I want to make sure I try to cover everything from you and Johan.
If I missed any issues, please let me know.
* RE: reliability and login issues, I'm reporting to IT team for a response. There is an expectation that SSO will be available soon for relay/DM, and I'm not sure whether any recent problems may be related or fixed by that.
* Starting at "group" chat instead of "direct" is not a good experience. That has been reported with a request to change.
* As you discussed above (and has been discussed in some other threads), there's a business decision to start chats only with people who follow you. I won't add more other than to say everything you've explained above is correct.
Best regards,
--Jerry

Works on my machine at the moment with Chrome and FF.

Today I am again not able to logon to messages.sap.com from Chrome Browser.
So I tried again Internet Explorer where I got logged in after I was asked for the market place certificate.
Not anymore the prompt for yesterdays certificate. But contrary to yesterday, no success with Chrome at all.
Mine is currently working in Chrome.
However, my browser was left open over night, and the effect was that I could post in the chat, but it did not show up. Only after refreshing the page, was I also logged in (apparently also with the certificate), and did the posts show up.
This worries me, because it looks like you get logged out automatically after a certain inactive period (which is good) but then I could still write to the chat.
The Chrome development tools show this error:
I also tried to chat with you Johan from my IE11 , however, when I click the + on top left to add a member then it starts with group chat (why?). After switching to Direct I added your name and clicked search, but this did not react at all, I tried the visible name, I tried the scn user id, I tried generic but it just did not do anything, I can only chat with people I had already added to the chat earlier.
I asked about adding members to a chat here: SAP Relay only allows to add follows / followers users
and someone else asked about it here: Adding a member to a chat you participated in this discussion yourself
Also I have an active chat session (that by the way I tried to add you to when I wrote that feedback above), that I guess you cannot see?
Current SCN:
People can only chat with with people after following each other.
Moderators can start a chat with everyone without following that person. The person can then answer the chat without needing to follow the moderator. They can even weeks later add new replies to that chat.
I do not expect anything different for the Relay, and it actually used to work this way, it just looks like there is something broken in logon and search.
No, no notification
The whole new platform seems to have severe issues today.
I can't even get to notifications and followed activities, neither from Chrome nor from IE11
In IE11 the system stucks at
which cannot be reached.
In Chrome I just get the header but no content.
Whereever I go I see a pop-up that the site wants something to download
