Hi Moderators,
I was member on SDN Community for more than 3 and half Years (Login id: p165470). I have helped others for their queries by doing 750+ Replies to qeries on the SDN and earned only 1000 points . But my id has been blocked suddenly without notifying anything and without giving any warning.
Can you please let me know why it has been blocked? Please help to unblock it.
Thanks and Reagrds,
Ashvender.

Hi Moderators,
I had sent an email to 'sapnetwork@sap.com' regarding the Login problem. And got the reply that I am doing gaming because of that some moderators has blocked the account.
I want to ask few questions to Moderators:
1) What do you consider as gaming on SDN?
2) How can you consider one single single posting in 6 Months as Gaming?
3) Do you just block the accounts whomever's account like or you look into the actual fact before blocking an account?
I was a regular member on SDN for more than 3 years, Nothing had been considered as gaming. And in the last 6 Months I did only one posting. Please let me know why it has been considered as gaming without giving any warning or without notifying anything.
Is helping others on the SDN is just a wastage of timing As the account can be closed just like that?
I have followed all the rules as per the SDN. Please unblock the account.

I have followed all the rules as per the SDN. Please unblock the account.
Providing your mail.id in itself contributes to breaking the rules.
Your account as the moderators said has not been blocked, its been simply deleted. So no chance of unblocking it I guess.
And from what Ive understood, you account has been deleted for Points-gaming and not Gaming. And theres no reason to intimate you about the same.
I was a regular member on SDN for more than 3 years, Nothing had been considered as gaming. And in the last 6 Months I did only one posting.
Its quite likely you were points-gaming prior to the six months mentioned by you.
Is helping others on the SDN is just a wastage of timing
Helping others is not a wastage of time. But cheating definately is.
There are quite a number of posts here in CC talks about points-gaming. Search and read them to find out why points-gaming is considered a menace!!!

> I am doing gaming because of that some moderators has blocked the account.
Gaming --> Points Gaming
> 1) What do you consider as gaming on SDN?
Creating dummy accounts , and posting questions and awarding points your self, Closed loop posting
Cheating Points system...etc
>2) How can you consider one single single posting in 6 Months as Gaming?
As said by PK, may be you did 6months back.
> 3) Do you just block the accounts whomever's account like or you look into the actual fact before blocking an account?
We will not block, whomever's we want, we will check 2 or 3 times and after confirming we will block.
We will do lot of tracking and then recommends for Guestification.
>I have followed all the rules as per the SDN. Please unblock the account.
Once Account is deleted, it is deleted for ever and you are not at all following rules.Don't mention mail address in the forum , as it is violation of SDN forum rules.
Hi,
Did you have a look into the postings I did on SDN. Do you think if someone is doing posting for gaming does he needs to make 750+ Postings for getting 1000 pts. Cant is possible that for 1000 pts can be earned in 150 to 200 postings?
Now, I have understood that the posting are waste of time because no Moderators is replying only others are giving responses.
Thanks,
Ashven
See your below Threads...Those are not according to Forum Rules, you violated the forum Rules...and you lost your account..
I searched your posts and found the below content , which is again a violation of SCN forums

Hi Vijay,
I understand it will be not as per the rule now on the SDN but when these postings were done that time lots of people used to write like this. These postings were done in the year 2006. And after that when rules updated then was follwoing all the rules.
If this is the case then why the account was not deleted in the year 2006 why it has been deleted now only?
The links you have mentioned is queries posted me. See them again. others has written asked for the points not me.
Anyway thanks for giving all those reasons. I posted this queries becasue I wanted reply from the Moderator whoever has deleted my account. Now the account has been deleted and cannnot be recoverd. I dont want anymore ridiculos explanations on this. End of the day my all time and efforts spent honestly has gone Just like that and I still dont know the Actual reason. Just think how much time it would have taken for doing 750+ postings (just a rough idea - 250 hours).
I just want to give one suggestion for the SDN Moderators. If you are deleting anyones account just send them the reasons. So that they should know the reasons.
Please delete my this account also. I created this account just to get the reason.
Thanks.
End of the day my all time and efforts spent honestly has gone
Why do you think so?
Are you posting replies only to get points or what ? Does they give any benefit to you.
Instead you can feel happy that you have helped so many people by giving them solutions
when required.
The only benefit with those points you should see is that they are helping poor.
>I wanted reply from the Moderator whoever has deleted my account. Now the account has been deleted and cannnot be recoverd. I dont want anymore ridiculos explanations on this.
use polite words, don't use harsh language. With out a strong reason no one will delete the Account. That is my Final Conclusion.
I do not know the facts of your case.
If you really feel that your account was unfairly deleted, then as already has been pointed out, send an email to 'sapnetwork@sap.com'
It has happened in the past that innocent bystanders have been caught.
Minor violations of the rules of engagement that were before the enforcement, will not result in accounts being deleted. More serious will most likely result in the thread simply being deleted. Very serious - like deliberately manipulating the points system - will still cause your account to be deleted.
I think further discussion, as Vijay has said, is unproductive.

Hi Gautham,
Yes, most of the members do postings for both helping others and for points also. And if someone rewards points if your answer really helped them you we feel happy. Here the thing is what has been considered as gaming.
Dont mind just for an example. You know whatever you have contributed to SDN is fair. And suppose one day your account will be deleted suddenly without notifying you and if you want to know the others will say that you are doing gaming then what would you feel? Will you feel Happy and proud? Or would to like to know the exact reason?
Hi Matt,
I already sent this query to 'sapnetwork@sap.com' and got response like its becasue of gaming. After that i sent two email just to know what has been considerd as gaming? And there is no response. becasuse of that i posted this questions.
Hi Vijay,
I understand that this might has been closed becasue of some reasons but I just want to know the reason. Others are also spending their time for contributing on SDN and my understanding is if they are removed from sdn then they shuld know the resaon. It should not be like that Just becasue you are moderators you should remove account just like that without letting him/her. Others may also be Right.
Anyway Thanks for your responses and sorry if words has hurted others. I have already marked this thread as answered.
>
> Very serious - like deliberately manipulating the points system - will still cause your account to be deleted.
Somewhat defend Ashvender(only for those thread which I found).
I guess he was not involved in Point gaming. Because none of his questions or responses had been found Two guests in one thread. If the point game was there than definitely Moderator should delete both IDs (As you do in all cases). Was he doing point gaming with same name?!?
But yes he did offence by giving the m'ail ID or offering points. But at the same time none of the moderator gave him single warning!
~Just 2 cents (only for those thread which I found)

Hi Ashvender,
Based on some of those threads from 2007, there is nothing obvious left anymore for me to investigate.
But considering that more than 50 thousand user ID's have been deleted over the past 2 years, those examples do not have to be related to you in any way because of subsequent events. An indicator of this is that there are other Guests in the same threads as well.
2 years is too long ago to dig up evidence again, and the sample didn't leave much to work with.
Why did you wait so long before posting here? Can you remember any other colleagues of yours who lost their ID's around the same time?
To date, the only known error which I am aware of was points-gaming amongst a group of people who implicated one of their colleagues in the game without him being aware of it. From what I heard, he was very angry and they got into a lot of trouble...
Sorry that I cannot help your old ID further.
Cheers,
Julius
Hi Julius,
My id has been deleted in the month of February 2009. I sent emails to ''sapnetwork@sap.com' konw why my id is not woking and got a reply 'It has been deleted due to Gaming". I sent emails again to konw about the reasons what has been considered as Gaming? And was waiting for the reply but din't recieve any response. Then I posted on SDN to about the reasons and to recover it.
I don't have any colleage who is doing postings on SDN. So, don't have any ides who has lost id or not? The id was working fine till February 2009. And one day, suddnely I was not able on login.
Yes, most of the threads are from the year 2007 and earlier. Since last year i was busy with my project work becasuse of that there are very less postings in the year 2008.
I am sure there will be no evidence because I was not involved in anykind of gaming. And the id has been deleted accidently. If possible, please help to restore the points as per the points 1 in David's reply.
Thanks and Regards,
Ashvender
There were some guestifications late last week when a nest of points gamers posted with the wrong name (Sunil signing off as Peter, etc) and we are currently looking into another one, but I cannot remember having seen any requests in the days prior to your having posted here which related to the name "Ashven Kumar" in any way.
Which name were you using for the accounts, which company were you working for and please post a link to an example thread or two where this happened so that I can see which forum it was in.
Also if you have the SDN user ID number (not the P-number) then this would be usefull.
Cheers,
Julius

Hi Julius,
Thanks for your reply. Your reply is making to feel that I will get satisfactory answer.
My user id was 'p165470' with the name 'Ashvender Kumar' was using for last 3 years and has been deleted. I used to post in 'ABAP Development'. Ashven is my nick name. Just to know the reason why my account has been deleted I created a new id.
Follwoing are the example links posted by me in 'ABAP Development':
Thanks and Regards,
Ashvender
Hi Julius,
Its very difficlut to search for the qeustion now as the id is not available. Going one by one to all the pages I have found following 3 links. There were not more than 10 or 15 posting becasuse of this it becoming very difficult to find them.
Here are the found 3 links :
Thanks and Regards,
Ashvender

No need to go each and every page to get your posts.
I just made a search like [this|https://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=Ashvender&objID=c42&dateRange=lastyear&numResults=15].
Those are questions which you had asked with your original ID.
What I was looking for was questions which you had answered, where the user ID who asked the question is also a Guest.
Any chances of remembering such threads? Can you remember how many user ID's you had and any specific posts which any other ID made?
Anyway, this case is not familiar to me, so I guess some other investigation was the cause of this.
Cheers,
Julius
Hi Julius,
There was only one id (p165470) from which i was doing the postings. I jsut created a new id 'p787292' few days back for posting this query to know about the reason why my account has been deleted.
I have searched on SDN with my name 'Ashvender' and found 335 threads. Out of these threads following are the links where posted by shows as Guest and reply also includes 'Guest'.
Please let me know if my account can be recoverd.
Thanks and Regards,
Ashvender
Hi All,
Regardless of where this discussion ends up, there are two unalterable facts.
1. When points are deleted, they are gone forever. There is no bringing them back. It is possible to make a one sided entry that creates some X number of points against a specific userid, but they are unattached points in that they do not connect to any activity on the site. If a person who had 100 points in the forums finds them deleted, and it is subsequently decided to give them back the 100 points, the "restored" points would just be an entry whereas the original ones could have been traced back through links on the business card to various forum entries.
2. When a userid is deleted from the LDAP it is gone forever. There is no recovery of it.
I mention these two points for a very good reason. Creating more than one userid on our site is a very risky business. We have a large group of forum moderators who are growing in both number and experience. They have become quite adept at spotting people who have more than one userid that they use within the forums. Due to this increased vigilence, using more than one userid within the forums can result in what happened here. Please refrain from doing so.
Best Regards,
David

Donu2019t feel depressed. This occurs to me many times. It happens when you put your password wrong twice or thrice and your IE stores cache. So what you can do just delete your History and offline files from IE and re-login with correct password if still it not helps than you may shot a mail to sdn@sap.com.
My answer should consider only in case of your ID exist and due to wrong password attempt your ID get blocked.
Request forwarded to move this thread to .

Hi ,
Put ur question in Community Discussions forum.
Amresh.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Its very likely, you must have been breaking some rules of this forum like, posting the question in the wrong forums, like this one.
And hence the Moderators might have thought it right to delete the account.
