Hi,
While working for a new sap client, the customer asked for ROI and the first top search in google revealed real ROI from Oracle Corp. for SAP.
www.oracle.com/corporate/analystportal/insider/nucleus_real_ROI_SAP_2003.pdf
Just wondering what is real.
(no offence meant to sap !)
Anirudh,

Hi,
I'm sure it's possible to find a study on SAP site which says exactly the opposite.
IMHO, this kind of studies is not worth the time reading them...

Olivier

Olivier,
I read one of the studies and found it actually interesting. The conclusion was that big complex SAP projects end up with more effort and cost and small simple Oracle projects with limited scope end up with less effort and cost.
The authors basically acknowledged that the scope of the Oracle projects were less complex than the SAP projects in comparison. It would have been interested to see what the results would have been if they compared "equal-size" projects instead of "small projects" to "large projects".
I'm sure that there are documents out there that say small SAP projects with limited scope end up with less cost and effort than large Oracle projects with more complex requirements.
Take care,
Stephen
