Profit centre as a mandatory field in sales order

I know this issue occurs here several times, I read many many posts but no was functional for me.

I want to set the filed of profit center in sales order as a mandatory, but when I do so in VOV8 + OVA2 (sales item, incompl. procedure "11" and I try the other numbers also, set the profit center with warning, save) - in sales order still pops up the "dummy" profit center if not filled primarily, so I think therefore this set warning does not work.

Is there any other option instead of written above and setting of transaction variant in SHD0, please?

how is this question relevant for SAP Universal ID? Universal ID is SAP's CIAM solution and does not store any information like these.

I think the wrong tag got added. I recommend to specify what product / service / program your question is about. There are a lot of different ERP and Finance systems and services at SAP.
