Hi,
We have a user who can't access to SAP via SAP Logon. We have checked the
file /etc/services in his computer but the entries sapdp00 3200/tcp andsapms<SID> 3600/tcp are OK.
Moreover, the user do ping sucessfully to all the servers.
If he tries to logon a the message server he gets the message:
Error: service sapms<SID> unknown
And in the applications servers:
service 'sapdp00' unknown
Can you help us with this problem?
Best Regards.

Hi,
Raghu, we can't run this command because the user hasn't got administrative privilegies on his computer. We are going to update the version of SAP Logon from 6.40 to 7.10 level 14.
Anindya, the server has all these entries. In fact no other users having trouble connecting.
Best Regards.

Hi Dear
>We have checked the file /etc/services in his computer
Do you have those entries ( sapdp 3200/tcp, sapgw00 3300/tcp and sapmsSID 3600/tcp) in your SAP Server also?
From the error message it is evident he is unable to login with "Logon Load Balancing" Is he able to login with Application Server IP? I mean by using specific IP instead of Logon Load Balancing.
One more question, configuration for other users are same with that user?

Hi Suez,
Try this.
Click on Start Run
Type sapgui <IP address>
If it connects, then there is a configuration mismatch in SAP Logon Pad.
Hope this helps.
Cheeers.,
Raghu
