Hi all,
There is one argument i need to justify to my company...HOW sap is more stronger than PEOPLESOFT.
My company already having all the modules into SAP except the HR which is currently running in People soft...
Therre are other People soft company guys too here...
I need some strong points to eliminate them in this argument...
On what ways Sap Hr is more stronger than People soft hr???
They are arguing what ever sap can do we also can do...
"You guys have only Recrutitiment management stuff ->infotype 4xxx series
But we have campus mangement , University management also....Whihc you dont have
People soft is introduced years back so lot many cosultatns available where sap Hr new so very few available...bla bla bla..etc..
So People soft is more stronger....".
Can any one help me to get some good points to say Where SAP is more stronger compare to other ERP's
Sas
Request clarification before answering.
The strongest point of HR is the Integration where People soft is weak
please high light the integration of HR with FICO
even though i have not seen the people soft we can say the data maintainence part in SAP is strong than Other ERP modules
if there is pay roll and time the system will caluculate certain statutory reports that will be a huge advantage right
Note : i dont have idea abt pay roll caluculation of the People soft so was not able to figure out people softs process

Hi Sikindar,
Thanks for the inputs yar, But can you stop once and explain a bit clear about below???
> there is pay roll and time the system will caluculate certain statutory reports that will be a huge advantage right
I got one more Bullet point
Audit reports which we can say challengly no other Erp has this
I am just looking time to sit with my peoplesoft cons. to have a deeper look into their systems and can say what extra we have :)...

But we have campus mangement , University management also....Whihc you dont haveThat's incorrect!
You might get this info from [here |http://www.sap.com/about/newsroom/press.epx?pressid=2178] and [here|http://www.sap.com/industries/highered/pdf/BWP_Campus_Mgt.pdf].
Although they can have still valid point and argue with the costing of SAP HR vs Peoplesoft HR. But sometimes/often only meeting the purpose cannot reach you beyond the lines. You have to keep your mind open for future prospects as well. SAP HR have better authorization and compatibly compared to People soft. For any client future integration should be a key evaluation point with leaving the costing constraint behind. If I would a Client I would certainly Go with the SAP HR because I Want to ensure the proper solution is made and support. Your consulting partner must be choose wisely who can provide proper end-user training as well to SAP HR

It's very much straightforward!
In Childhood I was learnt that if you not able to memorize the correct answers then just try to memorize the wrong ones. That will help to identify the Correct Answers.
Thus He usually searches with the wrong names of Community members and eventually result returned your threads which are really helpful to pull off your threads.
For your more comfirmation => Examples are [here|http://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=Mathew%2Bsas&objID=c6&dateRange=lastyear&numResults=15&rankBy=10001] and [here|http://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=alvo%2BSas&objID=c6&dateRange=lastyear&numResults=15]
Also,For me this thread would be easier to pull off in long future because of [this|http://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=juilius%2Bsas&objID=f255&dateRange=last7days&numResults=15&rankBy=10001].

To answer the original question (although I know we don't do that in Coffee Corner much!), SAP HR used to be really quite poor and Peoplesoft HR was probably the best out of all of the ERP products. So quite a lot of companies implemented Peoplesoft HR and SAP for everything else.
These days SAP have brought out a lot more functionality and made it easier to use (I remember the older ESS / MSS which was horrible). Also oracle bought Peoplesoft - which I think quite a few people in SAP were happy about as it removed one of their competitors.
