Hello,
in the current version of SCN the content has a structure organized according to "Places" and "Subspaces", such as SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SAP SD) in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ERP).
How are organized main topics in the BETA Version of the New SCN?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Andrea
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Andrea,
The currrent content within beta is more fluid due to it's concept of tags see--> http://go.sap.com/community/about/using-tags.html also you can see current examples in beta off of main navigation from sap.com.
See navigation below from sap.com.
Hope this helps.
with kind regards,
Bill Murray

Thank you very much for your explanation! With a deeper search I could find the answer also here: Spaces and Community Topic Pages | Community Beta
Thanks and best regards,
Andrea
Hi Andrea,
I realize it is quite early in the beta and many features are either on the pending list or known issues that the team is working on (and we've been keeping them busy since the launch), but I'm curious for your opinion on whether or not you see the tag index approach to be a suitable alternative to spaces and the associated categories within the space?
Hello,
I read from the link mentioned above (Spaces and Community Topic Pages | Community Beta) that the content will move from spaces to community topics pages. I think that it will be helpfull for those who want to carry out a search using that approach. I also understand (and experienced myself) that a primary tag is mandatory when posting some content, and that primary tags can be selected among a defined list: I think also that will help to find what you are looking for among blogs, documents and Q&A.
Probably its just a psychological barrier to innovation: the organization of content according to spaces and subspaces gives the idea that everything is well organized and compartmentalized, but then you have anyway to use key-words or something like that to find the content you are looking for.
I think it would be useful a dedicated search criteria, or a filter of the search results by primary-tags.
Best regards,
Andrea
+1 to this:

As I've seen mentioned elsewhere, tags will allow for users to surface content in more than one relevant place - unlike spaces.
That said, we need to improve the experience across the different kinds of pages (as someone else put it, beta is a bit of a "patchwork") and better expose available tags.
