Oracle Error - 01017

Hello

I have copy the SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5 / Oracle 11.2.3 system from one window box to another. The only difference is host name. I am getting above error. I have changed the password to default "sap" but still getting error.

in SAP user table old hostname is showing .

Pl suggest the solution

Hi Vimal,

Please go through note #1576837 - ORA-01017: invalid username/password and let me know whether your issue has resolved or not.

Also execute sapdba_role (refer to note 134592) and SAPCONN (refer to note 834917).

Please provide the solution. I have tried all option but not working. Now I am getting error as ORA-1017 and Ora-3113 error. R3trans -d is successfull. Pl find the log attached .

Hi,

I think you have a serious issue with the DB... ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel, please post Oracle alert.log, have you tried to restart the database with SQLPLUS?

Hi Vimal,

Have you change the parameters of hostname in the profile files? (X:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\profile) it seems you are using the same SAPSERVICESID user, you need to recreate OPS$ users

By the way... how did you change the default password?

I have changed the password using brtools.  I have also read the note 50088. There are a zip file attached to this note. Please let us know that can we run those zip file (*.sql) on sqlplus system/manager and it will create the OPS$ users.

Otherwise request you to send the procedure for the same .

My old system hostname is :KTMHOECQAS

New system hostname is : KTMHOECCDRTEST
