Passport, air tickets, health Insurance & foreign currency are must
Keep the destination details & some contact phone numbers handy
If the place is cold, do carry a nice warm jacket
Carring some neck ties will be good as europe is more formal than US
Remember luggage limit by airline is 20 Kgs, don't over pack
Carry some packets of cookies / local snacks, if you don't like the european food
Carring shoe polish will be good, else shoe shiner will work
Don't forget pair of socks and UG
Plan for weekly laundry, so carry 7 shirts and 3-4 trousers
If you know some one at onsite, have a quick word / mail conversation about your doubts. Good luck. happy journey.
***Stay away from good looking girls
Regards,
Vishal

That definitely depends on where in Europe you are going! Welcome to the Nordic countries, we're not too fussy about ties (probably the most meaningless invention ever).
And yes, stay away from our good-looking girls, you have an ample supply at home
Depends where you are going. Europe is a continent, not a country. So there are different requirements for different countries.
It also depends on where you are travelling from (actually, probably more on your nationality). There's an Indian flag in your profile, so I suppose that means you are an Indian travelling from India.
If the country you are travelling to has an embassy, that is where you will get the best help with regards to travel documents etc. When I travelled to India the web site of the Indian Embassy in Norway gave me nearly all the information I needed.
Baggage? Ask your mother what to pack

Don't forget your passport and credit card. Anything else, including toothbrush, can be bought. But it does look better if you wear some clothes when you arrive
I suppose you can't really forget your passport, since they will check it when you check in for the flight. So that actually gives you only two things to remember: Get dressed, and bring the credit card.
