Im 29 and have been working in Project Managment for a voluntary sector learning development organisation that does e-learning, training , small IT systems development and capacity building. I have been at the firm for 5 years. I am confident using HTML, PHP/MySQL but have not yet used Java, C+, Visual Basic or Javascript. I am looking to get trained up in new software and SAP solutions are appealing because the financial rewards look fantastic. I am not massively technical but I am not shy sabout learning new progeamming languages but a hardcore programming icareer s not something that appeal as i think I would be out muscled by more practical/logical minds. I love systems development and, research, business analysis, project management related stuff - things that require a big picture outllok, people skills as well as a technical grasp.
What kind of training should I do in order to find a SAP career and what sensible steps should I take to ensure I make real go of a new chapter in my career?

OK - ABAP programming it is. my nest question is this.
What software do I need to buy (Netweaver?)
How much does it cost?
Does it allow me to build templates and modules that encourage ABAP programming practice
If I buy Netweaver do I have all the capabiltiies and features possible in Business By Design, Business One and all the Enterprise solutions?
