MDM Project Name

Hi.

We are Implementing MDM in our company.

It is a Metal Manufacturing Company.

We need to name the project. Pls sugest some names for the project.

I guess, you are the right person to answer this question. It is something similar to naming 'Aleksey Kim' as 'LessonsLearned'. You should have done it with a specific reason. BTW...is it 'LessonsLearned' or 'Learning Lessons'?

You can try using the planet names.. Like Mercury.. Jupiter ...saturn...

or you can use some space project names like apollo, columbia... we tried those in our business...

But we are looking for some name which relates to Our Business or some thing which relates to the Project Outcome etc.

How about "Full Metal IDoc"?

Project members who have change access to S_IDOCDEFT can have names like Paula and in receiver systems change access to S_IDOCMONI are Cowboy ...

You can go for "Magma" or "Hot-Metal" or "Gen-Met"(Genrating Metal) or viceversa "Met-Gen" sounds good....

but best way is to organise a little competion among your organisation and then choose some really good results then a small poll...

with this you can have some good results...

If I understood correctly you are looking for names for the MDM implementation program/project and not for the repositories/objects.

You can name the program based on the objectives and scenarios it is targetting to fulfill. some suggestions- FUSION, POWER, Transformation......even some meaningful acronyms should do.. best would be to do a brainstorming within the team for selecting the name. Best of luck- Ravi

It could be something like which suits your IT landscape and is relevant to your application.

As in your case it may be

Metal_Global, Material_Global or vice versa

Hi,

May be you can use following nomenclatures for your masters.

For example,

- Metal Material Master

- Metal Vendor Master

And for main repository,

- MET_MDM_REPO / METAL_MDM_REPO
