Marketplace ID ?? Please help me...

Hi Folks,

I am in a trainee to get my certification as a SAP consultant in BI/ BW. I need the IDES system to do my exercises on it but I cant find it here. I have heard about a possibility to get it in the marketplace with a marketplace ID. What is ist and where can I get it? What do i have to do to get access to these files?

Anybody who can help me answering my questions?

Getting this ID is easy as long as you work for a customer or a partner. Just go to [servicemarketplace|service.sap.com], click on 'New User? Register Here!', and provide the required details.

Hi Michael,

it's not possible to click on "New USer? Register Here" on http://service.sap.com/ because its requires a login. Is it right that i need a login to get a login? I mean why? lol Sounds a little bit complex.

Even the Education trial login with username "public" and password "smp" is not able anymore... why not?

I just need an overview to see how i can get access to the IDES System.

Walid,

When you say you are trying to get access to the IDES system, do you mean one hosted at SAP? If so then there isn't one for general use.

You need a login through your company which needs to be a licensed user of SAP products in order to get a login for the Marketplace. This is referred to as the "S" user login which inside of your company your Basis group is normally the ones who can request and create one for you.

Without this you will not be able to access the IDES system.

Weird but I told someone this in IM chat just the other day.
