Mark threads as closed

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to get an additional option of marking threads CLOSED, in addition to the current (or the only option) of marking the threads as ANSWERED. Reason being that I do not think there'd be any fruitful answer to the question I had posed and I do not want to keep that thread open anymore.

In addition, is it possible to close the threads if it has been inactive for quite some time, eg 30 days? I supposed there is no point for all the forums to be flooded with unanswered threads that is possibly a few months old or even years??

Hi,

Currently this power rests only with moderators who have the ability to "lock" a thread which is essentially the same thing.
