Links - Disclaimer Not Working anymore

Hello,

I do not know if I am on the right space to as this kind of question, I hope so.

Recently, I see that almost all the links which used to redirect to links "Legal Disclaimer for Links" are not working anymore.

I click for example (from a PDF Document) to a link and it goes to (in this case for a note):

http://help-legacy.sap.com/disclaimer#/notes/1680045

disclaimer.png

In this page, there is no option to proceed.

For the notes, I can copy paste the note but for some other links it is very difficult to get to the document.

Is this a known bug?

kindly asking to share your experience if you are having the same problem.

Copy the link address, and then remove the disclaimer part (http://help.sap.com/disclaimer?site😃 as a work around to bypass that page.

Hi Joe,

Those PDF's are indeed leading to 404. However i was referring to those links which have the symptoms "Many of the links point to legacy disclaimer page and that page does not have an agree/disagree option, which would let you go to the "promised land"."

The links which doesn't have the agree/disagree option.

Oh, I see!

But the link in the original post was this:

http://help-legacy.sap.com/disclaimer#/notes/1680045

there is no "site=" attribute.

OK, I see it now too, thanks!

Not sure if anyone will notice this question here but because it affects Help Portal I'd recommend to enter an incident with SAP Support with low priority. You could just post a link to this question in the incident.

I'm not sure if there is a designated component for Help Portal but just did a quick note search and it seems that help-related notes just have the corresponding functional component. So in this case file under BOBJ.

Already reported to help portal support team!

I'd bet $50 that they'll tell me it's working as designed and I should submit it to the Ideas page.

I managed to get very professional response 🙂 At least they are aware about the issues!

P.S. Just try to write here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/contact-us

Jelena - opening an Incident with Support is not going to help, as product support can't do anything about help.sap.com - its managed by different team, which is not part of Product support.

Providing feedback on the portal itself or contacting Customer service is a much better alternative.

Thanks, Vadim. I submitted a support incident too. We'll see what happens...

Hi, Denis.

If true, then the message on the Contact Us page should be changed. It's pretty explicit:

If you would like to file an official bug with the SAP Help Portal or another SAP product, please go to the SAP Support Portal instead.

I'm guessing there is a component that is responsible fro this then, but its not part of Product Support.
Customer service will be a fastest route still.

They told me they don't support SCN or help.sap.com, and I should use the Contact Us page.

...which doesn't work. Guess I'm stuck. It's almost as if they don't want to help me.

"Contact Us" "which doesn't work" - what do you mean? Just tested - it's working...

Not for me... This is the message I get:

I had tried it on Friday, and again this morning with the same result.

I used "Contact us" to let whomever know about this issue. Gave my email and SCN profile, as well as a link to this post. Hopefully someone will receive one of our "messages in a bottle". 🙂

The report rep was kind enough to give me another email to try: sapnetwork@sap.com. My email was then forwarded to Support, who told me to use the Contact Us page.
