Karma points / reputation - what happens

Thanks but still what really happens to the points which i have in here

The link you sent just gives an overview of what all I did in SDN but not all the details and a line which shows how many points I had here which is also not updated.

In the newer version what is the counter part of SDN points is it the Karma points so how do I see that and will that start from scratch for everyone?

And also do we now start to contribute in the newer version or the older one or it doesnt matter where we contribute since both are in sync?

Sorry for asking too many questions and hijacking the post but I am quite curious to know

Hi Vinita,

I branched to a new discussion since your question relates more to how your Jive reputation and karma credits will be handled in the new community, and I'm sure others will have similar questions.

There is an overview here that should help you understand what is changing and why:

To answer your specific questions:

- Karma Credits start at scratch for everyone when the community cuts-over to the new platform

- Any karma credits earned on beta will be re-set to 0 at go-live; you can see your total when you are logged into SAP Answers, below the main site header

- You can only see your own karma credits; you can't see other members, and they can't see yours (only moderators can see the karma credits of all members)

- Beta content will be cleaned out at cut-over, and then there will be a final migration of Jive content to the new platform; so you should use beta for testing and getting familiar, but anything that you want to stay with you, needs to be created in Jive prior to the content freeze
