Please see this thread [Project system material |/thread/1989630 [original link is broken]; I had asked the user to search in internet and forum and all I get is an insulting reply
please shut and do your own things
Is it really an offense to tell someone to search the forum or in google ?
Request clarification before answering.
Dear Rafi,
Its not good to use this type of language. It will affect person's reputition in the forum.
But one thing which i would like to tell that there should be a nice way to tell the guy that You should search this thing in google or SCN. One of the senior guy (I will not disclose his name) in the forum replied to my thread that ''It would not take much time for you to search in google.'' This is not suitable way of communication?
What you think?

Yes, that was my reply. I have posted many times for many threads to search in google or sdn forum before posting the question. Its not only moderators activity to sort out this, anyone can give the path on how to make use of sdn going forward.
Also, open discussion has been started to share the views on this point (searching before posting). People are happy to help others, same time, I tried to push the author to get some basic idea before posting that. That will make people to analyse more before giving irrelevant replies.

I suggest not to take personal as its in official forum & official reply.
Also, below thread had very simple query (by mentioned by author himself), search can give him these details.
Dear Maheswaran,
Thanks for info.
The query has already been replied by shirazul islam, I appreciate him for providing me path, Actually I did not find the step by step procedure to delete functional location thats why I posted. The link you provided only contains Archiving Objects for PM data. You can check reply by shiraz ul islam how beautifully he explained.
Some times Simple Simple Queries also need guidance!
Thanks & Regards,
waqas
Dear,
Jurgen has his own view.No body is 100% wise. SAP is like an ocean, If there is only one path then SE38 is also standard T Code & we are using standard program in this T Code.Sheraz did not design his own T Code and Procedure.
Moreover even we all learn new things till death again we have achieved knowledge similar to pointer of needle.......Learning never stops. I am always eager to learn new paths.
Regards,
waqas
Just a last question. How do you know about these programs next time? Do you create an own knowledge database? Or do you just browse SCN again? or use the F4 search in SE38?
creating a favorite to SE38 would not really help.
SARA is in the SAP standard menu.(thats my repository )
But the question in thos thread was if it wrong to ask someone to search before posting.
your issue was about deletion of functional locations.
this is result of a SCN search: 470 hits - What do you think, is it wrong that you was asked to search?

Dear Jurgan,
You are misunderstanding the scenario. I told you already that I am eager to learn new things. If I posted a basic question, One should tell me in nice way if he does not want to help I have no objection, It should be like this way:
1. You should search in google, sdn before posting
2. You can search in google.
3. Search in google before posting
These are nice replies but if u say:
''It would not take much time to search in google''
It would not only hurt me but also everyone who has self respect.
I think now you can understand.
Regards,
waqas
this is what you would get in the MM forum:
Moderator message: Basic frequently asked question - Please search forum for answers and read the docu in help.sap.com
See as well our rules of engagement: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-19331
A good way to search the forum is with google. See this blog with details for a good search
This blog describes how to use the SCN search: http://scn.sap.com/community/about/blog/2012/12/04/how-to-use-scn-search
