Is anyone else finding this new forum as impossible as I am?

1. There is no way to tell if an answer has already been provided for a question

2. Searching just lists the related messages with no tool tip to show more detail. Popular topics mean drilling into many messages to find if they are relevant to your question or not.

3. No language filter so I see a list of questions I cannot understand let alone answer

Just the first things I am finding annoying, any one else got more to add?

(Or would appreciate insight into how to use it better :))

You are not alone.

The new SCN is almost impossible to be used (at least for me too).

And tags in an excel sheet? Are you serious?

Yes indeed, I think SAP SCN has to introspect the no: of clicks fall after the new scn came in picture.

It is just a mess.

When I read this question, the shortest response that hit my head with actor included was this:

I am not alone then 🙂

Still suffering every time I need to use it. I search and get NO results for the most basic of things, spen more time trying to find the right page than finding my answer or posting my question.

Julie, see if my recent blog could be of assistance: https://blogs.sap.com/2016/10/19/scn-3.0-old-folks/

On #1 there should be a filter for unanswered/answered questions in the question list.

#2 - not sure I understand, could you elaborate?

#3 - no, there is no language filter and yes, it is a problem. Please check Idea Place for the ideas already submitted to improve search and vote them up: https://ideas.sap.com/ct/ct_list.bix?c=SAPCommunity&cat_id=CDD9C9CA-AD6F-4C46-BF16-085B7E59E48E

On #2, I searched for "Payment Wizard" and got a list of 12 results. They all just had the words "Payment Wizard" with a hyperlink which meant drilling into each result to find the detail to see if it is relevant.

It would be good to hover over to see a few lines so I could decide if it was relevant without having to drill into each result.

On #1, I am accessing the SCN Community from Launchpad, the view I get doesn't seem to have a question list

Hi Julie,

If you go to the questions tag view for your specific tag of interest:

i.e. https://answers.sap.com/questions/metadata/22872/sap-business-one-1.html

You can see a lot more information:

How do I find that view? I followed your link & got to it, but don't seem to be able to book mark it, and can't see how to find it from the SCN Community link in my launchpad

Hi Julie,

that view (URL) is found by clicking on a tag within a specific question:

i.e. check this image out: https://postimg.org/image/5ngacv5zt/

Why can't you bookmark this link? Its just a standard link. Bookmark it using your browser's functionality.

https://answers.sap.com/questions/metadata/22872/sap-business-one-1.html

You can even shortlink it as well using tinyurl:

i.e.

http://tinyurl.com/SAPBusinessOneQuestions

(I went ahead a shortlinked it for you)

PS:

if you click the "View All Related Content" button, it will take you to a different page:

i.e.

http://go.sap.com/community/tag.html?id=01200615320800000816

This is the tag page "Tag: SAP Business One Follow" which shows questions and blogs that are tagged with "SAP Business One"

And yes you are right, you cannot find that link unless you go to the SAP Business One community topic page and click the "See all content on" links:

http://go.sap.com/community/topic/business-one.html
