Hello All,
I've been raring to write this for a a couple of days now and finally I did get time to write this bit...
Yes...We've done it...and We are the Champs now...India won the First Ever World T20 Cricket tournament by beating Pakistan in a nail-biting finish that went right down to the wire with Pakistan needing 13 runs of the last over...
For those who don't know what Cricket is...Refer this page
What happened can be found on millions of pages over the net...
After we won the cup we welcomed out heros in a very wonderful victory parade...A few snaps can be found on my web album here
Right...many would have said till now that what we've got to do...I say SDN has played a very important role in making India win...
How ???
Well...here it comes...India was in thye second round and lost to New Zealand in the first match...so they had to win all the matches from there on to win the series..And the next two matches were two very reputed teams..England and South-Africa..
During the England match, I had put my new 1/2K Member T-Shirt, and India won...so everyone I am also a very superstitious about cricket...
So i had put the same t-shirt on all the matches...and also on the Final day..!!
Three cheers to SDN for sending me a very lucky t-shirt for Indian Cricket team...Now every time India plays..I am putting the same t-shirt...!!!
Cheers,
Tatvagna.

1. Let me know when India loses a match when u wear this T-shirt!
2. If India plays matches on two consecutive days can u pls try washing that T-shirt immediately after the first match?!
3. You could have tried being on the dias at the Wankhede that day. After all people much less deserving were on it hogging space and limelight!
Just kidding.. Superstition is kinda fun. Adds spice to our forms, reports, tables etc life..!

Thanks for sharing a fun belief tied to ...an SDN T-shirt. That's the only part of this conversation I could follow. Sports are as much a mystery to me as the PHP scripting language. You could post this as a community story...triumph of the SDN t-shirt.

Ha ha ha that's a good one ! We followed our superstition too. The first time we ordered World cup (50 overs) we lost so horribly. So this time, we thought we'll try otherwise and guess what, though it's a mini world cup, we won ! So, though i had to follow the news and rest of the media to stay updated, I missed watching it live !!! : ( so i'm busy cathcing up on Cricket plus !

Thank you for sharing those pictures. While I have never seen a match, or have any idea about the rules, I still got shivers down my spine from seeing all of those fans support their country and team. It is always great to see that many people celebrate with pride and enthusiasm.
I am surprised that India and Pakistan were in the finals. Remember, I know nothing about the sport, but I have always heard, or assumed, that England, South Africa, and New Zealand were the teams to beat. I went to New Zealand when I was just a young boy and I can remember the admiration New Zealanders had for the game.
It looks like a very fun game. If only I could hit a ball with a bat. I juggle, play soccer, basketball, and golf but I can't hit a ball with a bat for the life of me.

Hi Davis,
I like your perception of the game....but it isn't that easy to hit the ball...
Check out some superb yorkers bowled by some of the great bowlers in Cricket...just FYI a yorker is a ball that doesn't bounce on the pitch but pitches directly onto the stumps or near the batsmen's legs...
And regarding Pakistan, it is a great cricketing nation, with very old and intense rivalry with India in terms of Pakistan...And England, New Zealand, Southa Africa are all really good teams...but Australia leads them all....and to come to the finals India bt. Australia and Pakistan bt. New-Zealand...
