Not sure where to post this (there is only Help Desk on openSAP, didn't find any feedback channels) but just throwing a message in the bottle here. 🙂
In Discussions area, on openSAP platform, when we add comments, it's too easy to click a wrong button and accidentally loose the whole text without any chance to recover it (unless you learned from the past SCN mistakes and wisely did Ctrl-A / Ctrl-C before clicking any buttons 🙂 ).
In the screenshot, you can see the ending of the reply that I'd like to comment on (text ends with "Best regards"). After clicking the grey button [add comment], the comment text field and the orange [Send comment] button appear. However, [add comment] also remains on screen. After you type in a long comment and scroll up to check the text, it's too easy to assume that "add comment" will post your comment. But what happens if you click it - you lose everything you wrote without any warning and just get a blank text field, as in the screenshot.
I believe that [add comment] button should become hidden after the text field and [Send comment] button appeared. This will make it very clear which button submits the comment and will prevent accidental deletion.
Request clarification before answering.
HI Jelena,
Sorry, I hadn't seen your question until a colleague from the community forwarded it to me just now.
Thanks for your feedback - in fact, we ask that learners give their feedback and improvement suggestions on the openSAP platform via the discussion forum in the course that they're taking or through the helpdesk. Or if you use the community, you can tag Training and that will usually reach me.
I'll share your feedback with the team behind the discussion forum logistics and design as they're always looking for feedback and ways to improve it.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Claire

Hi Jelena,
As promised, I checked with the team members working on the forum. They told me that in Chrome or Firefox, if you click again on add comment, your content appears again so all is not lost - they gave me a demo video to show that, but it seems I can't upload a video here.
However, they are working on some improvements and they've added your feedback to that too and will see how they can improve it in the next round. They were also very thankful for your feedback and are interested in how our learners use the forum. If you have additional points, you can let me know via message or through our help desk, or in your course forum (the I like, I wish would be ideal).
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Kind regards,
Claire
Hello,
I noticed the same, it's very easy to make a mistake or, without noticing, post twice.
I also saw another problem:
When you send a discussion in a lesson, you only can see it in the lesson. I think it's easier if they are together at the end, or open other tab for questions about lessons (not the general course).

Hi Isabel,
If you add a comment under a video, it does appear in the general forum and is tagged with the week and unit number. Here's an example, but if you have an example where you've experienced it differently, please share it with me and I can look into it for you.
Thanks and kind regards,
Claire
