Hello,
I am enjoying the SCN Missions () and Reputation program ( ). And new idea came to my mind. As this program is about building reputation through the whole SAP world, what about to reward through SCN those, who passes some SAP certification. They are also very important and from my point of view it would be cool to see who is certified in which area and so on.
And now I have two possible imaginations. Let me fork it to two points (meaning ideas):
1) 1 certification = 1 badge. The best would be to include the certification ID into the badge to clearly see which certification that person has.
2) Make a progress mission (similar to I was right, In a helping mood, Answer hero etc.) and award badge for example for the one, three, five, then ten certifications. And in this case do not show exact certification codes, just the total number.
Next question could be, how to approve, that user really has passed the certification. It could be done for example by sending the scan of certification list, the clear photo with certification list in his or her hands. But the best would be, if SCN moderator can check the cestified person on the Training and Certification Portal.
And the last question, do the SCN community has capacity (meaning a free person) who can take care about giving these awards?
Thank you for any reactions, new ideas and so on. I hope we can conclude to the best solution (better maybe improvement) to make the SCN community better.
Kind regards

Hello Kamil,
there is this -document where you could put your ideas into (just link to this thread, too). So it's all in one list, when the SCN gamification team is looking for new ideas. ^^
It's a nice idea to show that you put your time and money (or your companys money) down, even though finishing a certification doesn't mean that you know what you are doing. ^^ We had/have quite a lot of examples here on SCN, that have a certification, but sadly no clue whatsoever.
On the other hand there are a lot of pretty knowledgable people here in the community, that aren't certified. So I wouldn't decide who's opinion to trust just via the badges that person has. At least not by certification badges.
I try to find the information, because I thought that at least for one special certification there is a badge awarded. I'd swear I read that here on SCN this year.
If I find it, I'll edit it in.
Regards,
Steffi.
