I'm hereby putting Newtown Square on notice . . .

I'm afraid I have bad news for Newtown Square.

I'll be back in the Mid-Atlantic Region for at least a year. starting 10/10.

And by "Mid-Atlantic Region", I'm afraid I do mean "within driving distance of Newtown Square".

So I fully expect to be PERSONALLY invited to any appropriate events in Newtown Square, e.g. InsideTrack stuff, etc.

And of course, if there are any developers sitting around up there who are dying to write the next killer app in a new vertical sector for SAP, I'll be happy to share the progress that I and my bioinformatic colleagues (Princeton, PSU) have made over the past two years on quantitatively identifying discriminants of protein structure that can be found directly in protein messages.

Given the presence of pharma in the Newtown Square area, this should be a "gimme" for SAP.

But of course, a prophet is not without honor except in his own house, as the saying goes.

(Well, not exactly "his own house" in this case, but close enough to still be appropriate.)

Again, Lucas?

Davy's been on the road since 2001 with a year and a half off for good behavior ...

But thanks for the allusion anyway.

David,

I never thought that folks from West Chester, PA(Knoxville and Margera) would need SAP help, but hopefully whomever you are really working for is a little less crazy.

Now I think everyone would be really concerned if you were going to be hanging around Waldorf for a year.

Take care,

Stephen

Sorry I misled you, Stephen. By driving distance, I didn't mean commuting distance.

SAP has a lot of clients in the Mid-Atlantic region that are within driving distance from the Square (i.e. no need for plane or Amtrak to do a daytrip.)

Re Waldorf - yes, that would be problematic.

Imagine the jolt it would give them when I merely pointed out that there's a reason why the same word "alternative" occurs in the biomolecular phrase "alternative splicing" as well as the logistics phrase "alternative BOM" - I'm not sure they're ready for such electroshocktherapy.

Best to you also, as always.
