The S-user account is associated with the company it was created for. So you can't really change it over to the new company, but rather you should have a new one created by your new employer. If you want to maintain a SAP Community account independent of your employer, you can create your own P-user account.

Since it is often asked and likely your next question, it is not possible to transfer information (e.g., content, reputation) from one user account to another. While we are working on functionality to link accounts, so that a user can at least have that information displayed side-by-side, it has not released yet.

Hi Caroleigh,

thanks for the Info, but wasn't the solution of this transfer-problem one of the promises of the new Community?! 😞

And is it true that with a P-Account, you can't use Sap-Passport? (I can't imagine consuming any SAP page without that anymore!)

best

Joachim

Hi Joachim,

I wish I had a better response, but the linking functionality is being worked on, but release is still TBD. (Yes, it has been a long time coming.)

And you are correct that only s-users have passport accounts, so that is an additional consideration. Thank you for pointing that out -- Mehulkumar, you should keep that in mind as you consider the pros and cons of each option.

When I was a young college graduate, one of mentors asked me, do you know the most important think you need to work with computers? A sense of humor, he told me.

Around here, I would say it's patience.

caroleigh.deneen I'm not a fan of commenting on old posts, but I hate creating new posts for questions which have already been asked. I just need a final update on this, is there really no way - absolutely no way - to keep an S User ID? Or to have it transferred to a new company?

Hi 01224e03a1874b69919eab14e401e433,

While you can't transfer accounts, we have made some progress with account linking and the Universal ID concept. Please visit the FAQs here:

I hope it helps,
