I have already three accounts with three profiles on people.sap.com ( @riccardo.escher, @riccardoescher, @riccardo_escher), because with my job also my e-mail address changes and sadly it is not possible to change this. Now I will loose also the third job so the active e-mail address becomes obsolete.
Will I have to create a fourth account with a fourth profile and link the old accounts to it or is there a less crazy way to reflect life changes on this platform? I am slowly becoming sick of this!

The account you get from your company or customers is owned by them (and they have the right to disable it). You can create your own user though, when registering on SAP Community with your private email address. In the near future you will be able to use SAP Universal ID to manage multiple accounts with a single pair of credentials. For now though I recommend to register your own personal account, where you have full control over the email address being used.

Hello Oliver,
but the SAP Universal ID does not solve the issue, it is only a sort of single sign on. I always have to select an account after I logged into:
And these accounts are bound to different e-mail addresses and to different accounts on people.sap.com.
Every time I change an e-mail address I have to create a new community account. This is dumb! This is dumb! This is dumb!
Karma-points? Reputation? Forget it! Every time I start anew. Angry also that I cannot migrate my favorites and so on.
The worst community experience ever!
PS.
My P-number is bound to my private generic e-mail address. Now I have decided to create a new private e-mail address dedicated to job themes -> will have my fifth sap community profile. I am really angry!
Well looks like SAP hasn't gotten yet the concept of email change and accounts merging...
I tried to merge my two accounts, went through couple calls with SAP community support, to no avail. Sad but true.
Best regards

Sadly, there is no other solution than to use a personal email account and then hope that you don't need to change that too. I had to lose one account, then switched to personal email and had no issues since. See this post.

Hello Jelena,
yes, I share your journey, I had it too. I have now for different reasons five SCN profiles. I also hope that my main mail provider will not change some terms and conditions forcing me to move.
I changed my e-mail address also on LinkedIn. It was so easy and smooth! Exemplary!
But it seems that LinkedIn has a good IT staff which you cannot expect from a hardware company as SAP is, thus we have to live with this absolutely completely messy brain-dead situation (I hope some sentiment AI will trawl this). May be SAP should ask the LinkedIn IT how they did it.
Just to follow the post with my new account (the fifth)

Hi Ricardo,
isn't it possible to use SAP Universal ID? https://discover.sap.com/universalid/en-us/about.html
I thought there it is possible to link multiple email addresses with it.
Just not sure if you can use this UID for Community...

I have an Universal ID. Usually I use my actual job e-mail, which I will loose soon. Now I tried an old P-Number which I created five years ago. It offered me to "upgrade", which meant that I had to create my 4th profile, this time I chose @riccardo-escher.
Grrrrr.
I slowly am consuming all name variants.
It is really annoying this e-mail lock-in. What if my actual e-mail gets hacked and I have to create a new one? A stiff and bad solution!
