Good morning,
I don't undersatnd how it is possible - how this user got his points?
he got 25010001000 and it is not possible to see his comments/answers or blogs
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/mypoints?userid=mvjtc4nt3lmqfy%2bmph65%2bq%3d%3d#
please explain how your award points system works.
thank you.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Peter,
I am looking into this, the SCN Moderators already informed me. It is very probably a test done by IT and they forgot to remove the points.
I assume you know about the point system, but if not you can go through the [recognition program FAQ|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/crphelp].
I will get back to you in this thread.
Best regards,
Laure

Thank you Laure for your fast response.
It looks like some of your moderators are able to juggle with points
the example as follows:
it is strange that they do 'test' in production system...
do you have someone who looks after moderators faults?
i also know that moderator is able to 'cut' the points (not only 'edit' a comment).
do you have a statement/rule regarding that?
i hope new system you launch in January 2012 will not inherit such bugs
thank you and the best for you.
It is still a question.
This particular user demonstrates a 'Platinum' badge but hasnu2019t any points. Total points u2013 zero.

How did he earn the u201CActive Contributor Platinum: 2,500 + pointsu201D ?
System doesnu2019t display that. It is not clear.
Is that bug?
What is the point to display u2018contributionu2019 badge without a history log ?
Sorry, if I missed the idea.
Regards,
Hi Peter,
I welcome any questions!
I am also surprised that IT is testing a prod environment. My IT contact is investigating and I should hear from him soon. I'm also pretty sure that these testers are not moderators, one of them probably has the badge to test moderator privileges.
SCN Moderators are doing a great job to ensure quality content on SCN. They can also remove points that were wrongly assigned or in case someone cheated. We the SCN Team can also delete members who have not respected the rules of engagement and were caught several times and given at least one warning.
You will see that this member who had thousands of points in the forum was a tester and now his points have been cleaned up, so that's good. The platinum badge should have disappeared, I'll ask my IT contact to make sure it is taken down, we have a mechanism in place to assign badges and remove them as the 12-month rolling points total constantly changes.
If you click on the amount of points showing (there's a link) you get to the point history in another window. This will be easier to find in the new Jive environment!
Best,
Laure
