Hi,
System Information: We are using Netweaver 2004s with SP6 patch.
Problem Statement: We are looking for a way to configure class loading strategy in NetWeaver 2004S to Parent Last.
Problem Description:
Our application is using Axis. We want to upgrade to a more recent version of Axis. For this, we upgraded the version of Axis jars in our application. However, when we deploy the application, it still uses the older version of Axis jars which are present in NetWeaver system directories (<drivename>:\usr\sap\<Sys ID>\J2E\JC01\j2ee\cluster\server0\bin\ext\webservices_lib folder).
This is happening perhaps because the application server is configured for Parent First class loading strategy by default. Is there any way to instruct the application server to look for jars files and libraries in the application classpath first, before looking for it in the application server or system classpath?
We referred to SAP note 990854 but couldnt gather much from it.
This is blocking our development efforts. So an early response will be greatly appreciated.
Let me know if you need more information on this.
Thanks,
Chandan

Hi,
System Information: Coffee Corner
Problem Statement: This is a social forum. Your question sounds technical and based in reality. We go to the coffee corner to escape the real world (or to rejoin it, depending on perspective).
Solution: Post question in appropriate technical forum. Would suggest looking under [Application Server|/community [original link is broken];.
Cheers,
Mike
PS: Nice to see a detailed and well-researched question nevertheless
