How to gain privileges to write a blog?

I'm not able to write a blog even though I follow your blog AND I follow another member of the Community. I logged out of the Community and closed my browser. After reopening my browser, and logging back in I still get the same message: "You have not achieved the blogging permission level required to perform this action." What else do I need to do?
