How to find a proper primary TAG when raising a question or create a blog?

As SAP employee/moderator, I was told which tags I should follow and what are their links.

From the community platform->Community->About community->All about tags(Or, using this URL directly http://go.sap.com/community/about/using-tags.html), we can find an excel which lists all TAGS and URLS.

But I'm not sure, if I'm a non SAP employee and I'm a new user of Community, how can I quickly find the TAGs I'm interested?

For example, If I want to I ask a question which is a CRM Framework question, most probably I will try to input 'CRM' in primary tag field. You will see, there are lots of CRM related Tags. Which one should I choose? And the huge problem is, Tag name for 'CRM Framework' is 'UI Webclient UI Framework', it is not listed if I input 'CRM'. We can see, how far between them?

Same thing, If I input 'CRM sales', 'CRM service', there will be many entries listed. Which one should I choose?

Currently, what I can think out is: Search with familiar terms and find out which TAGs are used for them? Then I can use them. However, currently, since TAG is new thing, it might not be possible to find out the TAG in this way.

Do you have a better and quicker way? Or any idea?

Best Regards, Corrine

Corrine, the short answer is: you can't find it easily. The Excel file is helpful since at least you can use Ctrl-F but it's only a temporary workaround and something needs to be done about this.

There are actually several issues, from what I see: (1) some tags are too granular and (2) tag "search ahead" does not work well. I have no idea what it's based on but, for instance, if I start typing ABAP it should propose "ABAP development" tag rather than "SAP Netweaver for ABAP" (which is not even the right one for ABAP development questions). Even for "Using SAP.com" the first hit is some kind of "...warehousing". It's ridiculous! And you, as an SAP employee, might want to raise these issues within the organization as well.

Thank you.

Hello JK, I got it.

When I use IE11 to open it, this is what I get. There is no data after opening the URL. Even I click on 'More' part, there is data.

I search with the search field, but nothing returns -- it is still the same page.

It works fine in Google chrome. I can find tags, and navigate to the Tags.

But my personal opinion is:
1. I don't like 'More' in order to get next entries. If will be clearer and convenient if we use page numbers to navigate

2. It is too high for every row. It wastes much extra space.

3. It is just a list for all TAGs. Actually, few persons will care about so many TAGs. We are just interested in what we will follow. Is it possible to save all TAGs that we are following into one personal folder?

Additionally, is this tool public? Can I share it with other people?

Hi JK,

Thanks. But regarding 'bookmark' and 'place in a folder', these two functions, do you mean the function of internet browser itself? They are not function introduced by this UI5 app?

Hello Corrine,

under "Community > About the Community" there is the page "All about tags". It has an excel sheet attached that lists all available tags with their url to the tag page. At the moment that's the easiest way to find the tags you want (as far as I know).

.

Steffi.
