Hi All,
Looks like there is one more record in point hunting.
Here:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?userid=3714010
we got a user who earned 526 points with (wow!) just 7 posts and (wow!) for the whole one day!
There might be some points related to blog or wiki activities.
I understand that there might be transfer of points from the old account to the new one (as happened to me).
But, the question is:
(especially) if you work for the main vendor (SAP), why hide under fake name and why not to allow the others see your contribution in your business card? Probably these are honestly earned points. But, if it raises some doubts, why don't reveal it?
any reasons?
P.S.
And the signature
**Pls assign points if links are useful**
is especially touching...
Request clarification before answering.
Alvaro, there is no any complaints about jour job. Just the opposite!
I may understand your request of reporting to SDN.sap.com. But I coudn't understand the same answers coming from SAP finctionares. Are they not from SAP? And couldn't forward the request begging for help directly to they-know-to-whom?

Hi Eugene,
From what I have read and seen, the "points system" is undergoing some technical surgery and behaves strangely. Sometimes you will see top contributers appearing out of no where and then disappearing again.
This can be misleading and confusing. My previsiouly used tactics for detecting over-performers is also not working very well at the moment.
@ Blag - I understand that you are on vacation. I don't actively lock / edit anything on any other topic forum than my "own" area, but can step in for obvious nonsense posts if you are away or asleep (we are in different time zones). Just let me know.
Regarding "Please assign points"... so far in the security topic forum, we have very few people doing that... Some times I write to them directly from the thread (in other words, offline) to comment and point out that it is not appropriate in a specific context (for example because their answer does not have an information value to it). I have not found it necessary to remove any of the infrequent "plz awards accordingly" comments. Is there any hard moderator policy on this to remove these requests for points (like there is for emails and some documents)?
Cheers,
Julius
Hi Alvaro,
If I'm not mistaken, you usually remove this begging for points signatures...
This guy continues his business.

Ehm..
I am just wondering why people hunt the point. What are the benefits behind the points? Beside the t-shirts of course, because until now...the 1/4K t-shirts have not arrived.
I am also wondering...what's wrong with chasing the point? He answer , we give him point if satisfied, dont give if not satisfied. So even he chase the point, if we don't give him point then he will not get the point. It just my opinion
