from SAP Universal ID to SAP ID. - big step backwards ?

Today - when logging in -  I learned:

"SAP is transitioning authentication from SAP Universal ID to SAP ID. "

and:

"After September 29th, 2025, you will need to use your S-/ or P-User ID credentials for login."

-> that's a big step backwards, no? 😞

I have a tattoo of each S-user I have on my left arm and each P-user I have on my right arm so it's not a big deal for anyone doing this. 

I have used the leg for the passwords in the past but I went bankrupt because I had to renew the tattoo every 6 months.

We appreciate your feedback and fully understand your concern. Please note, this is a temporary state, and SAP is currently working on a new account switcher functionality designed to address this. It will be introduced as the next step in this transition process, once development and testing are complete.

I agree, this is definitely a step (or several steps) backwards.

I have 2 S-UserIDs associated with my email address. Whenever I used to login earlier, I used to be prompted to select the User ID I would like to login with. Now, the system just logs me in without prompting for the User ID. How do I switch/choose my 2nd S-UserID to login?

The least SAP should have done with this change is not to boast about it, as if it is such a huge improvement over the Universal ID that existed before.

Likewise please bring back the grouping of Bookmarks feature. It was very useful for segregating all the bookmarks.

That's not really a question, right? Answer: as said, use the S-User instead of email address (log out, log in). I guess your point is the current topic ("big step backwards").

But why not just keep SAP Universal ID ?! It seems fine to me...

SAP Universal ID stays, and you can continue using it to store your certifications, reputation and achievements.

What changes is that SAP Universal ID will no longer serve as an identity provider. This is an inevitable technical prerequisite for achieving the broader objective of enabling customers to bring their corporate identity providers. The Account Switcher functionality will also return to ensure S-Users can be switched.

I liked it so much... it allows to log without any new password if a new S-user was created linked with the email you used for Universal Id... no password ever requested. It sound like a big security issue but it was very convenient !
