Followed Activities is not showing Primary Tags in the content

When I click on my Followed Activities, it shows for people I follow or content where I am already involved, but none of the primary tags that I am responsible are showing up, nor is there a list of which ones I am following. Some critical functionality is missing.

Hello Michael,

I am sorry for the issues you are facing and thank you for raising them here. You would see content that has already been published and is live in the community showing up on your Activity Stream. Once user submissions have been released from the moderation queue, only then will relevant updates regarding that content start showing up on the Activity Streams of users who follow that specific content (or primary tag it was posted under). Thus, Michael if there has not been new content published since launch in the tags you are following, there wont be any relevant activities regarding them in your Activity Stream.

About migrating subscriptions from SCN, I am afraid we we were only able to migrate people subscriptions for our users. We were not able to migrate the space subscriptions from JIVE. I am afraid SAP Community members with subscriptions for spaces in SCN will have to re-follow the tags of their interest in the new community. You can download a list of all the available primary tags you can follow on SAP Community from this link:

http://go.sap.com/community/about/using-tags.html

Your suggestion of having a list of the user's current subscriptions to be able to manage their subscriptions better was mentioned during the Beta Testing Process an have been recorded in the Beta Feedback Recap. This feature is definitely a priority for our development teams and will be implemented in the coming sprints.

Thanks

Well, Following tags does work, but all the tags I was following in Open Beta apparently got unfollowed during the change over. This was not the case for people I followed and apparently also not the case with tags that I Moderate since my queue seems to stay full. Not sure why I had to go back and Follow my tags again (some have been refollowed, but I need to get the entire list again and follow the rest).

I take back my complaint. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa! I was wrong and feel really humiliated and embarrassed. Oh well, fortunately I get over such stuff rather quickly. I am actually quite glad I was wrong. One less item to get worked up about.

Cheers and thanks to Steve for challenging my position!

When the content is showing up in the Moderators queue but not afterwards, I kind of know that I am not getting notified for primary tags that I am following. But that does raise the question of why someone would be a moderator for a tag and not automatically be added as following? Moderators are supposed to be monitoring all the content in their area of responsibility.

Hello Michael,

are you sure you don't see content of the tags you are following (but not have participated in)? Because I do see content of the tags I follow. Maybe the other tags of yours don't have new content yet? Have you checked the tag pages and q&a directly?

Regards,

Steffi.

Tag and community (for topic tag) pages do not show any, or at least not all content. However this may be due to the cache refresh process taking some time, that they have been talking about.

When going to the tag page through the Q&A page, then you do get a list with relevant content.

I meant more like "Does he know there is a questions there he should see in the activity stream or does he just wonder about the fact that nothing showed up yet." 😉

Hi Michael,

You could post this in the Idea Place for the new SCN.

Regards,

Johan
