Hi experts,
Is there any provision in SCN thread to upload the files during responding to a query? I see there is provision for sharing pictures, links but nothing for sharing files (.pdf, .doc etc). I know I can upload the same by editing the post but how to do it on the very first response??
If it is there, please share
Regards,
ntn

Document files (MS Office such .doc, PDF, etc.) cannot be attached to SCN content. Only image files.
The full list if file types that can be attached is listed as accepted files types when you select to attach.

We want to encourage members to share their content via the rich text editor provided. this makes it easier to find, collaborate and engage (comments, ratings, shares, etc.). If you have a long guide that is best suited as a PDF, an SAP employee can request on your behalf to include it in the SCN Library, where PDFs are allowed. However, generally speaking, most content can be authored online.
Recently, I have published a new document by navigation : create -> content -> Document -> Publish
However, I would like to know the process on how to upload the same doc in SCN in PDF format so that when the users click on the link , the doc
opens in PDF format only rather than normal text format so that users can save doc for further usage. Do we have any restriction or review to be done
before moderators converting text doc to PDF format ?
You'll notice an option in the action box on the right side of the page of the document to view the content as a PDF. It's actually the same URL appended with .pdf at the end:
However, images may not appear in the PDF version (if there are any).
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the reply. However , our requirement is to have the http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-51737.pdf displayed instead of SCN Document link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-51737 , when a user searches for the document with key words using any of search engines like Google or Bing etc.....
