feedback on writing a blog post

Hi,

I just wrote a first blog post on the new SCN.

There were some features I either didn't find or which are just not there (yet?):

  • I didn't manage to mention people on SCN and linking to their profile
  • A spell checker would be very cool and useful
  • a short explanation of the different kind of tags would be useful
  • what's the criteria of the coporate metadata? Will there be a process for requesting new tags? I didn't find a tag for "community" stuff

Cheers,

Martin

I think most of what you said is documented on bug/Feedback pages

Just some more questions:

  • did I get informed when a blog post gets approved?
  • where do I find the blog posts which are not approved? At the moment I only see the blog posts which I did on the current ("old") SCN if I check my content in the new profile

Cheers,

Martin

Had you created a blog in Beta?

If yes then it is probably gone today since Beta got a refresh, see

Usually blogs under moderation can only be seen by a moderator and will be visible to you after the moderator added a comment or released it to the public.

In parallel to user activities in Beta the moderators are testing the moderation features, but not everything is currently ready otherwise we could have gone live already. Moderators will be assigned to certain tags for moderation. If your blog did not have a tag that is currently assigned to a moderator who is doing the beta test then it is not possible for him to release it.

Hi Jürgen,

thanks for the update. I wrote it yesterday evening, so the refresh might explain why it is gone. I'm aware that the new SCN is in beta test phase and I'm just playing around and give feedback if there is something I don't understand or does not work.

Cheers,

Martin
