Dear Community Members,
First of all I have to say that I really like the clean design of the new community. I see a big advantage that the new community is part of sap.com, because it is great to have a single entry point and a website which combines a lot of valuable features.
I would like to share a few things which I have noticed and some improvement proposals:
I am looking forward to the new community and I hope that you can solve the issues soon!
Best regards,
Nicole

Hello Nicole,
Thanks a lot for your feedback:
Landing Page: When I visited the Landing Page I couldn't find topics of interest for me and a filter (like Zalando has it) which gives me the possibility to find what I am looking for-> Can you please share the link to this page?
I know that there was a plan in the past that everyone can create a profile with their special interests and topics. Is this still in case?
Let's ping , our profile expert
It is critical to find the desired content immediately-> I agree. What tools would you add to help you find these.
It is not clear to me how the Recent Blogs for the Community Topic Page will be selected. What are the criteria (tags)? what are the resources (community, digitalist,...)?
Profile: I tried to enter my LinkedIn URL and it was not possible. The message Please enter a valid URL came up.> It worked for me. Can you please check if it is still happening? Can you please share the link and browser you are using?
Blogs: I created a new blog and had difficulties to find the place to do it. -> The profile dropdown isn't sufficient?
This should be improved. This blog couldn't be published. I had to click on Submit for Review even I am a space editor and should have the permission to post blogs without authorization.-> Is this is still happening? If yes, it's a bug as you've written more than blogs + you have already published more than 2 blogs.

Hi Moshe, Nicole,
When you say the following, Nicole, "I know that there was a plan in the past that everyone can create a profile with their special interests and topics. Is this still in case?" I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. If you could point me to a reference so I can dig deeper, that would be great.
It is indeed the intention in the new community that you be able to follow people, tags, and specific content items, although you will not be able to do that from the profile directly. Activities for the people, tags, and content you follow will then be visible in your activity stream, like they are today in Jive. Only, of course, you will be following a tag instead of a space.
Hope this helps,
Audrey
Hi Moshe,
Thank you for your email.
I think it would be helpful to have filter on the landing page to find the desired content immediately. You have such a filter on the community topic page where you can choose your topics of interest. Here is a link from a shopping website which uses also filters.
I tried again to enter my LinkedIn address, but it didn't work again. First I tried it with the Internet Explorer and I couldn´'t choose a second URL at all besides my twitter address.
Then I tried it with Google Chrome. With this browser I was able to edit the "elsewhere" category, but when I tried to add my LinkedIn URL "www.linkedin.com/in/nicole-huth", I got the message "Enter a valid URL".
Regarding the blog writing I think it would be great to have a "action box" on the lading page with the most important actions like: "write a blog post, ask a questions, follow, E-mail notification" like we have it on SCN.
I wrote now my second blog in the beta version (I did a lot more on SCN) and again, there was just the button "Send for review".
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend,
Nicole
Hi Audrey,
I am sorry, but I cannot provide you a reference. I joined numerous calls and meetings in the past and I do not know any more in which meeting it was mentioned. I just thought it is a good idea to have the possibility to choose your topics of interests. I also know that there should be a different view depending if you are a cutomer, partner or SAP employee. I cannot remember to see this approach on another platform to give you an example.
Best regards,
Nicole
Thanks Moshe!
If I follow the thread correctly, it looks like the outstanding questions are:
Blogs:
If so, I'll investigate these issues and find out the right answers for you
Best,
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
yes, that's right.
The first question hasn't been answered so far.
The second was partly answered by Moshe:
"This should be improved. This blog couldn't be published. I had to click on Submit for Review even I am a space editor and should have the permission to post blogs without authorization.-> Is this is still happening? If yes, it's a bug as you've written more than blogs + you have already published more than 2 blogs."
In the meantime I published two blogs in beta and tried to do a third one. And even at the third one, there was just the button "Submit for Review" which would probably mean, that this is a bug?
Best regards,
Nicole
Hi Moshe,
in the meantime our Utilities Community Topic Page went live. Thank you for this! I showed it to my manager and some team members and here is the summarized feedback:
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Nicole
