Hi colleagues,

When I tried to upload the file in the SCN discussion, the error occurred as below.

'The content type of this attachment is not allowed'

Although the file fills the following conditions, the error couldn't be solved.

-File size is less than 1MB

-File types are 'png' or 'jpg'

-File name doesn't include space

Could you check the function to upload files?

KInd regards,

Masatoshi

This is correct: you must have tried uploading a file that was not in one of the acceptable formats:

  • Max Size: 1.0 MB
  • File types allowed: .asc, .txt, .text, .xml, .xsl, .gif, .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .jpe, .ics

If you would like to upload something else (e.g. PDF) and it cannot be authored online, please submit it via the SCN Content Submission System.  Access the Content Submission System to submit articles and media. The Content Submission System now accepts only SAP content (SAP employees only).

Hi Lax,

As I wrote, the file I'd like to upload fills the condition perfectly,

so I can't understand why the error occurs.

It would be helpful, if you provide me with any solution.

Thanks,

Masatoshi

Please provide the URL where you are trying to upload the attachment.  Also, please send me by eMail the file you are trying to upload. (You'll find me in the company address book.)

There's also a limitation in how many attachments there can be.

Thanks for sending the photos.  I was able to add them on your behalf.

There have been some reported bugs with inserting images and they are scheduled to be fixed (ticket COMM-1036, reported here: ).

This might also have to do with that you're not following the space you're trying to post them too.  Go to and click Follow at the top right.
