EPM Plugin Error - No BPC Connection Active

Hello Room!

We are getting the following attached error when our finance users try to open/run a report

We are currently running the SAP BPC EPM-Addin_19 "EPM Add-in_NET40.exe" in the following environment:

OS: Windows 7 Enterprise

Office: 2013

.dot Net: 4.5.2

This also stops the user from editing the report.

I have re-installed the plugin using every single install option and this make no difference. I have also deleted the EPMOfficeClient folder within the users profile , but still no joy

Any help or suggestions would be welcome!!!

I have spent the afternoon reading the "How to Debug the EPM Add-in" document and with the users Appdata\Local\Temp\Log folder there us a Log edited at a time we tested the fault , which produced the following info:

Does this help? And anything that reads "unable" to me must be a issue?

2107965 - Issues in EPM Add-In / BPC for Excel after installing Microsoft updates

Resolution as per SAP note is as below since you dont have access to SAP notes.

• Microsoft has identified a known issue with these security updates and has provided a resolution in the following updates depending on your Microsoft Office version.
  
  To resolve this issue, please install the following updates depending on your Office version:
  • March 10, 2015 update for Office 2013 (KB2920754)
  • March 10, 2015 update for Office 2010 (KB2920813)
  • March 10, 2015 update for Office 2007 (KB2920794)
    
    
• If you continue to have issues after applying the March 10, 2015 updates, you will need to apply the following solutions on your computer: Microsoft Fix it 51029 / Microsoft Fix it 51031 specified in Microsoft KB 3025036.
• If you cannot install these updates, please follow the resolution in article KB 3025036.
• If you are in higher MS security patch and above MS ariticle solutions are not working in your system, please refer to SCN blog: https://scn.sap.com/thread/3668698 to try BPC_MS_update_fix.bat method.
• If the issue persists please contact Microsoft directly or utilize Microsoft resources to troubleshoot this issue further.
• Please review the Excel Support Team Blog for updates.

Yogesh , you are a star!! that has fixed it.

The machine had all the MS updates, the point about the BPC_Ms_update_fix.bat  resolved the problem. Will keep this to hand
