Emojis not displayed in questions/answers

I was writing an answer to someone about emojis -- the questions was actually about the use of emojis in SAP software -- and so I needed to display some emojis but after publishing found out I can't.

There was a similar question about non-ASCII characters but that was over a year ago: https://answers.sap.com/questions/12915526/non-english-characters-in-the-names-are-displayed.html

Is there any update? Is there any workaround for this, besides using emoticons 🙂 ?

👌👏 can you see any reason (technical or otherwise) these are supported? Is there any quick way to know what is supported (without sending a silly comment missing all it's emojies)?

Now I'm confused -- I used the OK sign and the clap -- which you show as supported -- but they did not display properly

I am assuming its the range that is allowed and rest are not.

seems like it is following a pattern. (I may be wrong). 2* (and 4 characters) hex codes are supported it seems

In above example below codes are supported-
