The economic crisis started in USA, and spread throughout the world. During the first quarter of 2009, the US economy shrank at an annual rate of 5%. Experts are predicting and economic recovery in 2010.
What impact has the economic crisis had on IT? Budgets have been cut and spending on non-essentials have been reduced.
India's economy continues to grow despite the worldwide economic crisis. The economy is expected to grow at 6% in 2009.
By the end of the 21st century, China will be the biggest economy in the world, followed by India.
Obama is viewed negatively by the business community. Obama is protectionist, but this is not good for the global economy.
India has pending free trade agreements with Korea, ASEAN, and EU.
I am pessimistic about USA's economic future, and neutral on Europe, and positive on Asia.
What are your thoughts on the future of the global economy?

This just came in the AP news:
"The global economy is beginning a sluggish recovery from its worst recession since World War II, the International Monetary Fund said.
The IMF increased its estimate for global economic growth in 2010 to 2.5 percent, from an April projection of 1.9 percent. But it slightly raised its forecast for contraction this year.
The IMF said much of the world's recovery will be driven by emerging economies such as China and India. It also warned that it was too early for governments and central banks to curtail efforts to stimulate growth. Government support for financial companies has been key in improving conditions, the IMF said."
So you guys in China and India keep working - the whole world is counting on you.

I share your views. I think of Britain before and after the second world war. It was never able to regain its position of dominance afterwards and wonder if the USA is headed in the same direction.
I'm not predicting, just wondering.

So, again you are here... Its good to see you after a long time... I am not a great participent in this forum, but ofcourse a fond of this 'corner'. I always follow this forum, for some kind of refreshment/to extend my knowledge to other area/to know people....and so many.
I use to see your post till last May-June, and suddenly you were vanished. I thought Julius made you as guest because of your total gloomy thread. Every time there were something disappointing/frustrating, in every of your thread...... I hope this time you are an optimistic guy. But I dont dare to read your post again as I already saw a word 'specimistic' or like that, in your (this)new thread... Nothing offensive buddy, I just love to see you as an optimistic person....Welcome Back..
Thanks,
Satyajit
