EAServer COmponent Calls

Hi,

I just noticed on previous version of EAServer (4.2.4) there was an option to Generate TLB/REG file and implement the generated tlb/reg into the local workstation to enable the application to call EAServer components on server but I can't find that option on latest version of EAServer (6.3.1). Is there anybody knows how to implement the same method on EAServer 6.3.1? We used VB 6 and Classic ASP for our client apps.

Hi Jennifer;

   Type Library support was in EAS for  Active-X support. In EAS 6.0, Sybase removed Active-X support all together and thus the ability to generate TLB files (and their reg entries) in the EAS Console [aka Sybase Central].

   My only suggestion if you really still need that functionality is to install EAS v5.5 which was the last version of EAS that supported the Active-X model.
