Hi everyone,
I have some doubts regarding the SCN Threads.
Initially when i joined i was reported abused for a answer where it was regarding that the answer should not contain the Help of SCN support , After that i avoided linking the Help of SCN. My doubt is that i have seen many threads containing the Help link of SCN.
Will same discussion have two thread number?
Regards,
Sindhuja.

Guide the person how to find the content in help.sap.com, explain how you found those links. This should help him/her for lifetime, while just putting a link is helping only for one question.
In any case you have to give context, have to explain what can be found behind the link. The link shall be used to underline what you actually said yourself.
If you look into old discussions then you will find any kind of unwanted behavior, people asking to get material send by mail, asking for points, posting just links, posting email address, promising points....Just make sure you are on the right track and leave the others to the moderators.
As said in many threads before, it cannot be seen anything, we are just volunteers and moderate beside our normal job, we are not working for the NSA. We focus on current content and often rely on reports by other users and it is not possible to clean-up some hundred thousand old discussions,

you can post a thread as question or as a discussion, a question can have 1 correct answer, a discussion is in general nothing more than what the word already explains, there cannot be a single correct answer. Hence you have this flag to mark a thread as discussion or as question.
If marked as question, then you have the buttons for marking an answer as correct or helpful, while those buttons are not available in discussions.
The platform gives you 15 minutes to make up your mind.
